A Dog's Life (1918) is a silent film written, produced, and directed by Charlie Chaplin where his Little Tramp character and dog companion "Scraps" struggle to survive in the inner city.
Other films where dogs appeared on screen with Chaplin were The Champion (1915), The Gold Rush (1925), City Lights (1931), and Modern Times (1936).
