A Guide to Our Policies and Other Tidbits of Information

The Global PathMarker Collection is series of posters, notecards and biographical bookmarks published and distributed by The Creative Process. The Global PathMarkers are an eclectic group of people who were chosen as exemplars of the ‘great individual’ or hero archetype, the essential seed and fruit of creative activity in culture. Our aim is to stimulate curiosity and contemplation about the mysterious creative ‘oneness’ of life by celebrating its diversity as expressed by courageous visionary leaders. Global PathMarker format & product details.

The Creative Process Global PathMarkers began in the mid to late 1970s when Fred Culver was inspired to start a poster business when he saw Frank Szasz's portrait of Albert Einstein. The other images appeared as Frank was inspired by an individual's story and did a portrait for us; the Carl Jung portrait was done for the CCHD Jung Project, KCMO, and the Maria Montessori project was completed with Ernst Ulmer's portrait due to Frank's untimely 1995 death.

The original business model was publication and distribution to retail bookstores, gift shops and picture framers; we began providing online retail access to the Global PathMarkers at creativeprocess.net in late 1997. Shortly after entering the web we also began providing links to other educational resources and web space for the community, education, and peace and justice projects we are involved in.

In the summer of 2007 we restructured our web presence by placing the Global PathMarkers on their own domain, globalpathmarkers.com, and reserving the creativeprocess.net domain as the community portal the name implies. Our links to educational materials also moved to NetPosterWorks.com so we can continue to help educators and learners make the connections that are the essence of learning.

Please note that we only have our own publications- the Global PathMarker poster art prints, notecards and biographical bookmarks in stock, we do not stock other posters, books, and calendars. We are not able to provide "sample" products.

Albert Einstein’s portrait by Frank Szasz was our first Global PathMarker. Szasz also painted our Martin Luther King, Jr., Mahatma Gandhi, Abraham Lincoln, Mother Teresa, Pope John Paul II, Pierre Teilhard de Chardin and Mark Twain, as well as Eleanor Roosevelt, Albert Schweitzer, Count Basie, Sarah Vaughan, Franz Liszt, Pope John XXIII, and a series of Native Americans: Iroquois Chief Leon Shenandoah, Mohawk Chief Jake Swamp, Tom Banyacya of the Hopi, Black Elk as an Elder, a Medicine Woman, a Dancer, a Youth and a Young Child for the Global PathMarkers that we have available in a special limited edition of biographical bookmarks.

All of the Global PathMarkers images are copyrighted and all rights are reserved. Please contact us to put a Global PathMarker image on your site- to display an image on your web site we require only that you attribute the image to the artist, acknowledge our copyright with "image displayed courtesy of The Creative Process." and provide a link back to us. Please ask about hot linking - if your circumstances are such that you must link back to our images on our server, then request permission.

Dear Teachers - I taught in public schools so I am acutely aware of the budget constraints and the tremendous work and talent you put into your teaching, so please do not think me an ogre for insisting that you take the time to model good citizenship to your students- it you want to use our images on your web site, just ask. Thank You!

Please also see the information about becoming an affiliate partner of the Global PathMarkers - your links back to us would be eligible to earn referral fees on purchases of Global PathMarker products - think of it as finanical aid for the PTA, school library, field trips.
