The Tale of Peter Rabbit-
But Peter, who was very naughty, ran straight to Mr. McGregor's garden, and squeezed under the gate! First he ate some lettuces and some French beans; and then he ate some radishes; and then, feeling rather sick, he went to look for some parsley.

The Complete Tales, Limited Edition : Collector's Lithograph Included, by Beatrix Potter - This deluxe volume brings all Beatrix Potter's twenty-three Peter Rabbit Tales together in one book. The texts are complete and unabridged and all the original illustrations, both color and black and white, are included. The stories are arranged in the order in which they were first published for, although each story stands alone, several are linked together by events and characters. Each story has a brief introductory note about its history. The revised edition of The Complete Tales includes two early narrative picture sequences, Three Little Mice and The Rabbits' Christmas Party, and two charming little stories, The Sly Old Cat and The Fox and The Stork. These four pieces alone, not available in print elsewhere, make this an essential piece of any fan or collector's library.

At Home with Beatrix Potter: The Creator of Peter Rabbit by Susan Denyer - The creator of Peter Rabbit, Samuel Whiskers, and Jemima Puddle-Duck, Beatrix Potter (1866-1942) is one of the best-loved children's book authors of all time. Yet few in America are aware of the role she played in protecting some of England's most beautiful landscapes and in designing romantic interiors and a lovely garden at Hill Top, her beloved Lake District farmhouse.

Taking the reader through her picturesque house and the breathtaking scenery around it that inspired many of her famous stories, this charming book is the first to look at the intimate connection between the English countryside and Potter's work. Her own exquisite sketches and watercolors, as well as personal ephemera, appear alongside specially commissioned full-color photographs, revealing a home filled with treasured old furniture and beautiful objects and celebrating an artist-storyteller whose legacy as a conservationist at last receives the attention it deserves.

The Tale of Beatrix Potter: A Biography by Margaret Lane - Although Beatrix Potter is known and loved by generations of children brought up on "Peter Rabbit" and others, her life began in great joylessness and solitude. Drawing was her once fascination and her creative genius was able to flourish in the loneliness and isolation of her early years. Despite the fame that her skill was later to bring, she nevertheless preferred to maintain her privacy and hide behind the persona of a Lakeland farmer. Margaret's Lane biography recounts, with reference to letters and photographs, Beatrix Potter's sad childhood, her struggle for independence, her illfated love affair and happy marriage.

Beatrix Potter's Art by Anne Stevenson Hobbs - More than 200 of Potter's finest paintings and drawings are featured in full color in this magnificent book which demonstrates this beloved illustrator's wide range of artistic skills.

A Victorian Naturalist: Beatrix Potter's Drawings from the Armitt Collection -

The Unofficial Guide to England - A complete planner for all of England, including London, all three southern regions, plus Bath, Oxford, the Cotswolds, the Heartland and Welsch border, Cambridge, East Anglia, York, Yorkshire, and the Lake District.
